Here is my entry for Kristina Werner's Color Inspiration #5. I have to say that I struggled with this one (even if it looks simple), but basically it's a pouch for a tea bag or coffee grains. I love the Pun Fun set... so versatile.







RECIPE: Stamp Set: Pun Fun (SU) - Cardstock: Certainly Celery, So Saffron, Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, watercolor cardstock (SU) - Patterned Paper (Lasting Impressions) - Stampin' Write Markers (SU): Close to Cocoa, Bashful Blue, Certainly Celery, So Saffron - Ribbon: Close to Cocoa 1/4" gros-grain (SU - retired) - Other: Corner Rounder punch, white gel pen from Signo, Stampin' Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Crop-a-Dile (all SU).


Voici le projet que je soumets au défi couleur de Kristina Werner #5. J'avoue qu'il m'a donné du fil à retorde mais j'en suis quand même fière. Il s'agit d'une petite pochette pour cacher une poche de thé (ou plusieurs) ou des grains de café à offrir en cadeau.

RECETTE: Jeu d'estampes: Pun Fun (SU) - Cartons: Certainement céleri, Tellement safran, Presque cacao, Bleu timide, papier d'aquarelle (SU) - Papiers à motifs (Lasting Impressions) - Marqueurs Stampin' Write (SU): Presque cacao, Bleu timide, Certainement céleri, Tellement safran - Ruban: Grosgrain 1/4" Presque cacao (SU - périmé) - Autres: Poinçon arrondisseur de coin, crayon gel blanc Signo, Stampin' Dimensionals, adhésif Snail, Crop-a-Dile (tous de SU).

CeeCee's CC#1

Here's my project with the 1st CC. I got this box as a gift from my good friend Diane. In it was a Scrap-O-Dex ready to decorate... I wasn't ready to decorate the Scrap-O-Dex yet, but I got to the box (instead of throwing it away). I used Close to Cocoa Monochromatic DP with Whisper White cardstock for the main parts of the box. A So Saffron ribbon from the Sherbert Ribbon Originals was added. Another ribbon, the Old Olive 5/8" gros-grain adorns the top of the box. I took several chipboard flowers and leaves from the Blossoms & Basics On Board set and covered them up with Ruby Red, Pumpkin Pie, So Saffron and Old Olive cardstock. The sentiment is stamped in Old Olive on Whisper White cardstock from the Unique en ton genre stamp set and is adorned with a frame and brads from the new Styled Silver Hodgepodge Hardware. Tomorrow (or later on tonight... it's late), I will post the projects of those who have submitted.

Voici mon projet pour le défi couleur de CeeCee. Dans cette boîte de carton se trouvait un Scrap-O-Dex que ma bonne amie Diane m'a rapporté de la Floride. Plutôt que de décorer le Scrap-O-Dex, je me suis amusée avec la boîte! J'ai utilisé le papier Presque Cacao des Imprimés de la série Design ainsi que le carton Murmure blanc sur les surfaces de la boîte. Un ruban Tellement Safran de la collection Sorbert ainsi qu'une boucle avec le ruban grosgrain 5/8" vert olive décore la boîte. Comme accent, j'ai utilisé des fleurs et feuilles en carton aggloméré de l'ensemble On Board Fleurs et bases et les ai recouvertes de carton Rouge rubis, Tarte au potiron, Tellement safran et Vert olive. Le sentiment est estampé en Vert olive sur un carton Murmure blanc et provient du jeu Unique en ton genre. Je l'ai glissé dans un cadre de la nouvelle trousse Hodgepodge Hardware en Argent stylisé que l'on retrouve dans le mini catalogue Occasions. Demain (ou plutôt ce soir puisqu'il est tôt lundi matin...), je vous montre les projets soumis.

This is SUe. SUe is a creation of my friend Maman Kool-Aid. She made this adorable little doll entirely out of Stampin' Up!'s stamps, pipe cleaners and beads. Isn't it the most adorable thing you have ever seen?! You can see her other dolls here. She calls them her little fairies. I want to try my hand at it but time is not on my side. When I get around to making my own doll, I will post a list of the stamp sets used. I'm off to the Regionals tomorrow and will get back to you with an update tomorrow night. Have a great weekend!

This project is totally CASED from Lauren Meader who does beautiful things. It consists of an Egg Box ordered online from Papertrey Ink. The box is made of beautiful and sturdy white chipboard and has an insert with 6 holes to fit eggs or like in this case fluted bags. I did buy a few of these boxes with the intention to do a workshop but alas, with my parents and my brother still in the hospitals there is just no time. Nevertheless, I wanted to show you an Easter goodie just to spark your creativity. There's always next year! I tried to be different by covering the box with Stampin' Up! patterned paper. Voici un projet que j'ai copié de Lauren Meader. Je n'ai pû m'en empêcher. Lauren fait de très belles choses! Il s'agit de la "boîte à oeufs" de Papertrey Ink que j'ai commandé par Internet. Elle est faite d'un beau carton blanc très solide avec un plateau amovible sur lequel se trouve 6 trous assez large pour retenir des oeufs ou, comme c'est le cas ici, des sacs de plastique en forme de cône. J'ai acheté plusieurs de ces boîtes dans l'espoir de vous préparer un bel atelier mais hélas avec mes parents et mon frère dans le milieu hospitalier, il n'y a vraiment pas de temps libre. Je tenais quand même à vous montrer quelques chose pour Pâques pour animer votre créativité. Il y a toujours l'an prochain! J'ai essayé d'être un peu différente en recouvrant la boîte d'un papier à motifs de Stampin' Up! Vous trouverez la liste complète des fournitures ci-bas.

Magnetized Bookmark Tutorial *** Signet magnétique

A very small projet for today but so much fun to make! It's a magnetized bookmark. I saw this technique on Splitcoaststampers and tweeked it a bit. Here's how I did mine (all supplies from SU, unless specified otherwise):

a. On Whisper White cardstock, I stamped the flower from Time Well Spent with Basic Black classic ink.
b. Colored the image with a blender pen and Gable Green, Only Orange, Orchid Opulence classic inks. I added an outline around the petals with the clear glitter pen from Atyou Spica (manufactured by Copic)
c. Punched out the image with the Small Tag Punch.
d) Cut a 3 1/4" X 1 3/8" piece of Gable Green cardstock, scored and folded at 1 5/8" and folded it in two.
e) Glued the white tag on one side of the Gable Green tag, then cut the two top corners with a pair of scissors to match the white tag.
f) On the back of the Green Gable tag, I stamped my name and phone number. You could add another image instead.
g) Punched an opening at the top with the Horizontal Slot punch.
h) I adhered two strips of magnet tape on the inside, facing each other when closed. I found my magnet tape at a local craft store.
i) Then all you have left to do is pass a ribbon through the opening at the top. I put a little glue dot behind my front loop to secure the knot since the grosgrain ribbon as a tendency to loosen up.


Voici un petit projet très facile à réaliser mais très amusant! Il s'agit d'un signet magnétique. J'ai vu cette technique sur Splitcoaststampers mais l'ai adapté à ma façon. Voici comment je m'y suis prise (toutes les fournitures sont de Stampin' Up!, sauf indication contraire):

a) sur un carton Murmure blanc, j'ai estampé la fleur (de l'ensemble Des Moments bien passés) avec de l'encre Simplement noir;
b) l'image est coloriée avec un crayon-estompe et les encres Classic en Vraiment vert, Opulente Orchidée et Oh! Orange. J'ai également surligné le contour des pétales avec le crayon brillant transparent d'Atyou Spica (fait par Copic);
c) avec le poinçon Petite étiquette, j'ai découpé l'image de la fleur;
d) j'ai coupé un morceau de carton Vraiment vert de 3 1/4" X 1 3/8" et l'ai plié en deux;
e) l'image est collée sur un côté du morceau vert puis les coins sont coupés au ciseaux pour imiter l'étiquette blanche;
f) à l'endos de l'étiquette verte j'ai estampé mes coordonnées. Une autre image aurait également pû faire l'affaire;
g) j'ai poinçonné une ouverture au travers des deux épaisseurs avec le poinçon Fente horizontale;
h) à l'intérieur, j'ai collé deux bandes magnétiques aux deux extrémités de façon à ce qu'elles se retrouvent une en face de l'autre lorsque l'étiquette est fermée. J'ai trouvé ma bande magnétique pré-encollée chez une boutique de hobby de mon coin;
i)la dernière opération-- le ruban que j'ai noué dans la fente. J'ai également ajouté un petit point de colle à l'arrière du noeud pour le sécuriser car le ruban grosgrain à tendence à se défaire.

For Valentine's Day this year, I decided to do something different. Yeah, a handmade card is always nice. But what if the card takes the shape of an ornament?! I was out running errands this weeek and came across these beautiful white glazed ceramic hearts. I was immediately inspired. So I took my Rangers Design's Alcohol Inks and colored the background. Then I stamped 3 different images with black StazON ink. Wrote a sentiment in the back with a Sharpie pen, added a ribbon and there ya have it! It took me longer to think about I wanted to write in the back than it actually took me to stain and stamp! It's a momento that they can hang up on their wall and cherish forever.

Cette année, j'ai décidé de faire mes cartes d'une façon différente. C'est bien sûr que de recevoir une carte faite de cartons et papiers est toujours plaisant... mais lorsque j'ai vu ces jolis coeurs blancs en céramique vernie, je me suis allumée! Ces coeurs sont parfaits pour recevoir de l'encre à base d'alcool de Rangers Design. J'ai estampé 3 différentes images avec de l'encre StazON noire. Le sentiment est écrit à l'arrière avec un crayon mince Sharpie et un ruban vient mettre la touche finale. Très simple à réaliser. J'ai mis plus de temps à penser à l'écriture à l'arrière que de colorier et estampé! Et c'est un souvenir que les membres de ma famille pourront conserver aussi longtemps qu'ils le veulent.

Le voici, le voilà! Le cadre que ma copine Kathy V. a fabriqué pour mon atelier. Quelle créativité! Elle s'est inspirée de la bannière de mon blogue pour créer ce beau projet pour accrocher au mure de mon atelier. Malheureusement, la photo ne lui rend pas justice. Kathy a colorié les lfeurs, ajouté des brillants, des décalques, des lettres en carton agloméré, du rubans, etc!

C-R-E-A-T-E !!!

"CREATE" is the inspiration word I chose when I moved into my studio in the spring. It's a committment I made to myself: find a way to earn a living with things I CREATE. It was important to me that I be reminded of that committment everytime I walked into my "workplace". So I bought wooden letters which I just propped up against the wall. The letters were painted a dull white and it was high time I did something about that. After all, if I'm going to CREATE, I have to be inspired to do so... the white just wasn't working for me. So I went to work. I glittered, I "Stickle-d", I faux-stitched, I "button-ed" and I "ribbon-ed". This is how it turned out. It's very very colorful, in-your-face, happy and shiny. Just the way I wanted it! The papers are K&Company from an old collection which suits the color scheme of my studio. I know I went against the height rule of Decoration-101, putting them quite high. But I wanted to see the whole letters while I was sitting at my desk... after all, it's for ME!



Le mot "CREATE" (créer) est le mot d'inspiration que j'ai choisi lorsque j'ai emménagé dans mon studio au printemps. C'est un engagement que j'ai pris envers moi-même: trouver le moyen de contribuer au revenu familial avec des créations de mon cru. Je tenais à ce que ce mot soit en évidence à chaque fois que j'entre dans mon studio. Alors, j'ai acheté des lettres de bois que j'avais tout simplement juchées sur mes bacs de rangement. L'effet était bien moche puisque les lettres étaient peinturées blanches. Puisque je dois me sentir inspirée par ce mot, je me devais de les décorer. J'ai ajouté des brillants, du "Stickle", des fausses coutures, des boutons et des rubans. Et voici l'effet final: un mot coloré, brillant et joyeux. Exactement ce que je voulais! Les papiers sont d'une ancienne collection de K&Company. Je sais que je vais à l'encontre d'une des règles dondamentales de décoration intérieure en accrochant les lettres ci-haut. Mais je voulais être capable de voir toutes les lettres en entier lorsque je suis assise à mon bureau... à créer. Après tout, c'est pour MOI, non?!

I've been very productive lately and it's kinda funny since I don't have very much time for that. I guess I work well under pressure! I've been playing with my non-SU stuff lately just because I have soooooooo many! Here's a little preview of tomorrow's post. I would show you the whole thing but I need to wait for the glitter to dry before I take a picture. The project goes on my wall.... I won't say more. J'me "paye" la traite! / I'm Treating Myself!

Je me suis rendue compte que j'ai oublié de vous montrer un des projets que j'ai réalisé pour ma porte ouverte de la semaine dernière. Il s'agit d'un cône en carton aggloméré que j'ai trouvé à une boutique de mon coin (Ted's Hobby Shop pour les gens de la région). Je l'ai décoré avec du papier à motifs et des grosses perles de SU. Un peu de ruban, quelques images avec des brillants et une grosse poignée de Smarties dans un sac cello! J'en ferai un autre, mais un peu plus "poussé". Celui-ci était très simple à réaliser car il me manquait du temps.





I forgot to show you of my projects I did for the last week's Open House. It's a heavy chipboard cone that I found at a local hobby shop (Ted's Hobby Shop for the locals). I decorated it with patterned paper, big beads from the Beads Duo, ribbon, stamped flowers and "fat" glitter, all from SU. This cone holds a cello bag full of Smarties (the best part!). It was a very quick project to make; lack of time was the main driver here.



Et que fais-je je je je présentement? Je m'paye la traite!!! Oui, mesdames. Le mari s'en va pour une longue session au gym, le garçon est parti courir la galipotte et la fille a invité 10 de ses ami(e)s pour une soirée pizza-p'tites vues! Alors Maman s'est "crété" un souper au Sushi Shop, s'est versé un verre de vin et s'est enfuie dans son studio pour une soirée de bloggage! Le vin va probablement me donner un mal de tête mais ce n'est rien qu'un bon chocolat pourra guérir, n'est-ce-pas? Oui, oui.... c'est prouvé. Le chocolate guérit beaucoup de choses!

And what am I doing right now? Hihihi, I am enjoying a solitary evening (husband is going for a full gym night, son is God-Knows-Where and daughter is having 10 of her friends over for pizza and movie). So when I got back from picking Steph up from school, I went to the Sushi Shop and picked up my meal, brought it home, poured a glass of white wine and I am blogging!!! Woohoo!.... oh, and listening to iTunes. Yeah, the wine will probably give me a headache but dang, it's good and I miss not drinking it. So, tonight I am indulging anyways. If I get a headache, I think chocolate will cure it. Right?! Yeah....

Je les aime, mes filles! / I love my Girlies!

Que fait-on quand quelqu'un vous donne une tasse remplie de bonbons et de chocolat?! On lui saute dans les bras!!! Non, mais... j'ai vraiment les meilleures recrues de toute la terre entière. Voici ce que notre Geneviève m'a apporté hier soir lorsqu'elle s'est pointée pour notre réunion d'équipe. N'est-ce pas une merveilleuse idée?!

C'est bien sûr que la tasse débordait de sucreries... j'ai peut-être grugé dedans. Je ne pouvais résister. Je me dépêche de manger les menthes pour arriver aux chocolats! De plus, lorsque je me serai gavée de toutes ces belles friandises (et pris quelques livres à la taille), j'aurai une belle tasse transparente pour mon thé. Merci, Geneviève!

What do you do when someone brings you a beautiful glass cup filled with candies and chocolates?! You give them a big hug!!! This is what Geneviève showed up with for our monthly meeting yesterday. Isn't this a great idea?! I swear Ihave the best recruits ever!Of course the cup was full when she brought it to me. I might have dipped into it a few times today. I'm just trying to eat my way through the mints to get to the yummy chocolate! On top of that, once I have eaten all those calories and gained a lot of weight, I can sip my tea in a beautiful transparent cup. Life doesn't get any better than this. Thanks, Gen!

Carte de St-Valentin / Valentine's Day Card

Les fruits, c'est bon pour la santé?! Une chance, parce que j'ai 8 petites coupes de fruits Del Monte à manger. C'est ce qui fait la base de ces belles petites boîtes à bonbon qui feront peut-être partie de mon atelier de la Saint-Valentin le 23 janvier prochain.

Fruits are good for your health, right?! Phew, that's a good thing cuz I've gotta eat 8 DelMonte fruit cups before my Valentine's Day workshop on January 23rd. I'm thinking of making that candy can part of the workshop. Of course, the cinnamon hearts come with it :-).





Un petit truc, en passant: le poinçon cercle 3/4" est idéal pour faire une fente dans le morceau du dessus (au lieu de le couper à la longeur). Ça fait plus beau. Chaque coeur que tient les souris est recouvert de poudre Givre irisé, mais la photo ne le montre pas bien.

By the way, the 3/4" Circle punch is ideal to cut an opening in the circle for the top of the can. It is a lot better than cutting across. Each heart is covered up with Iridescent Ice embossing powder but the photo does not show it.

J'ai la facheuse habitude de commencer des projets mais de ne pas les finir... Si j'avais à prendre une nouvelle résolution pour l'an 2008, ce serait de terminer mes projets en cours. Je ne crois pas trop en les résolutions, mais je me promets d'essayer d'atteindre mon but. Voici un projet (en fait, j'avais débuté 2 projets en parallèle) que j'ai réussi à terminer. En fait, j'ai terminé les 2 projets mais ne vous en montre qu'un.

I have the bad habit of starting projects but am famous for not completing them. If I had to make a New Year's resolution it would be to finish all these projects. I don't particularly believe in them, but I will attempt to do so. When I started this project, I actually started 2 of them! (Yep, that'd be me!). And believe it or not, I managed to finish both! Here's one of them.













Ce mini album est fait à partir d'une kit de Pine Cone Press (Libray Card Album) et contient des bibliofiches sur lesquelles on inscrit les dates à se souvenir (fête, anniversaire, etc.). Les papiers à motifs sont du Scrap Pad to Go de la collection Trend de K&Company. Le kit contient également des découpes d'étiquettes et autres qui ont servies à décorer les pochettes.

It consists of a mini album made with the Library Card Kit from Pine Cone Press. It's made of pockets in which you store library cards that records birthdays and anniversaries. It's small and cute and can easily be left on your desk for show. I used the Trend Scrap Pad To Go from K&Company to cover the album as well as the pockets. The kit comes with die-cut sheets of tags, frames, etc., so it was very handy to decorate the book.

Je me suis servie de plusieurs jeux d'estampes de SU et autres manufacturiers pour décorer les bibliofiches. Les initiales de chaque mois sont gaufrées sur des étiquettes avec de la poudre dorée.

I have used serveral stamps sets from SU and other manufacturers to decorate the library cards. The initials of every month are embossed in gold on tags.

Mandalas - Part II

Lors de mon crop d'Halloween, une amie avait amené avec elles des estampes de Outlines Rubber Stamps pour confectionner des mandalas. J'en avais profité pour les utiliser et j'avais réussi à en finir un dans les motifs de Noël. Les étapes de confection et la philosophie derrière cette technique est décrite dans ce message du mois passé.

The night of my Halloween crop, a friend of mine brought her mandala stamps from Outlines Rubber Stamp. She graciously let me use them for the evening and I had stamped 2 different sets. I finally managed to finish the 2nd one, the first one being my Christmas one. The instructions and history of mandala-making is described in this past post.


Cette fois-ci, il est embossé avec de la poudre transparente sur de l'encre craft noir de Stampin' Up! J'adore l'effet. D'un côté, je l'ai colorié dans les tons de bleus et verts avec mes crayons feutres Copic...

This one in particulair was embossed with clear poweder over Basic Black Craft ink from Stampin' Up! I love this crisp effect. On one side, I colored the images with blues and greens, using my Copic markers and...




... et de l'autre côté, dans les tons de violets! On ajoute un peu de bling avec du Stickles et des faux diamants et ça fait miroitant. Je m'en servirai comme décoration dans la fenêtre de mon studio.

Les "Inchies" / Inchies... and a half

Qu'est qu'un "Inchie" vous me demandez? Ce sont de petites créations artistiques qui mesurent 1 pouce carré (1-inch). Les Inchies sont de plus en plus populaires et voici ma version. Il s'agit d'ornements de Noël créés avec des images que j'ai commandé chez Crafty Secrets. Si vous aimez les images d'époque, il vous sera difficile de vous en tenir à un budget. J'en sais quelque chose!

What are Inchies you ask? They are small work of arts that measure 1-inch square. They are very popular these days and I couldn't wait to make some. Mine come in the shape of Christmas ornaments but they could be anything. The images I've used come from Crafty Secrets. If you like vintage images, you'll go nuts! I know I did.

Pour confectionner mes ornements, j'ai sélectionné ces petites reproductions de timbres d'époque que j'ai découpé des plages d'images "Winter Wonderland" et "Christmas Time".

For my ornaments, I used the smallest stamp images from "Winter Wonderland" and "Christmas Time" of the Heartwarming Vintage Cuts collection.

Après avoir découpé mes 6 images, je les ai collées sur un carton métallique vert. Ensuite, j'ai utilisé un fil métallique de Stampin' Up! (de l'an passé) pour faire l'anse du haut afin d'accrocher la décoration dans l'arbre. Puis, sur un autre fil j'ai enfilé quelques perles décoratives. Ces deux fils ont été collés à l'endos d'une des images, puis une autre image vient s'y coller à l'endos. Pour celle-ci en particulier j'ai rajouté des petites bordures dorées que mon amie SophieThé m'a données (merci Sophie).

After having cut my 6 images, I glued them unto a green metallic cardstock. Then I made a loop using some metallic thread by Stampin' Up! (from last year). I also strung some beads with the same thread for the decoration at the bottom. These threads are sandwiched between 2 images that are glued back-to-back. That way, you get a nice double-sided ornament. The pictures are all different. For this one in particular, I've also added tiny gold paper borders given to me by my friend SophieThé (thanks, Sophie!).


La prochaine opération est de recouvrir les deux façades de vitres pour microscope. Pour se faire, j'ai utilisé les "Memory Glass" de Ranger Ink. Disons que j'ai triché puisque mes vitres mesurent 1 1/2" carré. Les vitres sont retenues par une bande métallique auto-collante de couleur or. Malheureusement, je n'ai plus le nom du manufacturier et je sais qu'il m'a été très difficile de le trouver l'an passé. Cette étape est la plus laborieuse puisqu'il faut faire des entailles dans le ruban pour passer l'anse et la décoration au bas.

Essayez de créer votre propre version d'un "Inchie". C'est vraiment amusant!

The next step is to cover both sides of the ornament with microscope glass slides. I used the Memory Glass by Ranger Ink. I sorta cheated since the glass slides I had were 1 1/2" X 1 1/2". Oh well, sometimes you gotta make-do with what you got! The slides are not glued unto the images, but held in place with a self-adhesive metallic tape (unfortunately, I don't have the name of the manufacturer and I remember having a hard time finding it last year). This step is labor-intensive and quite tricky since you have to make slits in the tape to let the loop and the string at the bottom poke through the tape. Once you've done that, you just burnish all sides and the corners with a bone folder. Go ahead and try to make your own interpretation of an Inchie... it's a lot of fun!

Crottes de bonhomme de neige! Snowman Poop!

Bon, disons que le titre n'est pas trop alléchant mais si vous lisez le petit poême en dedans de cette jolie, vous comprendrez tout! L'idée m'est venue en regardant le blogque de Cambria Turnbow et je l'ai incorporée dans mon atelier de Boîtes et sacs à cadeaux de Noël de ce soir. Les petits bonbons à l'intérieur, des non-pareils, ont vraiment l'air de .... crottes de bonhomme de neige. Et ils sont délicieux!


I know the title may not be too appealing but if you read the poem inside you'll understand. This cute little box appeared on one of my favorite blogs, that of Cambria Turnbow, and I've incorporated it in my Christmas Bags & Boxes workshop tonight. The small candies inside, mint non-pareils, really look... snoman poop. And they are delicious!

J'ai une semaine très remplie et par surcroît, mon papa déménage dans un centre de réadaptation demain matin. Alors, j'en profites pour vous montrer quelques photos très rapidement et les explications viendront au courant de la semaine.

Premièrement, IL A NEIGÉ SUR MONTRÉAL AUJOURD'HUI!!! Eh oui, notre première vraie neige de la saison. Il en reste encore un peu sur les parterres. J'ai beau haïr l'hiver, il n'en reste que la première neige me donne l'impression d'être enveloppée dans une belle boule de coton, toute douillette. Tous les bruits sont assourdis. Ça sent bon. Et c'est ainsi juste pour .... à peu près 1/2 journée!

My week is rather full and my Dad is moving to a rehab center tomorrow so I wil post a few pictures real quickly and the explanations will come later.

First of all, IT SNOWED on Montreal today! Yep, our first taste of the white fluff of the year. I really don't like winter, but I have to admit that the very first snow leaves me with a feeling of being wrapped in cotton balls. The sounds are muffled and it smells nice. And that usually lasts, oh.... for a good half-day. This is what part of my backyard looked like this morning.

Je viens de terminer une série de 3 ateliers chez un grosse firme du centre-ville et, en guise de remerciement, j'ai laissé ce soir à mon hôtesse extraordinaire une boite de chocolats. Je voulais faire ce projet très populaire depuis un bon bout de temps. Tina a été charmée, je crois. Elle refuse de manger les chocolats avant Noël. La carte en arrière plan est la 5e carte de mon atelier et le petit sac fera l'objet de mon atelier de demain. Je vous donne des détails plus tard!

Tonight, I just finished a series of 3 workshops for a major firm downtown. As a thank you gift, I gave Tina (hostess-extraordinaire) a nugget box. I've been wanting to do this project for a while so this was the perfect occasion. I think Tina was charmed and she refuses to eat the chocolates before Christmas. The card in the background was the 5th card of this workshop and the small bag made with patterned paper will be a project for my workshop tomorrow. I will post details later this week!
